Popular singer reveals danger of Instagram filters for psyche

Popular American singer Ashley Frangipani, known as Halsey, has revealed the dangers of Instagram filters and masks to the human psyche. The Daily Mail reports.

According to the 26-year-old star, she had to face rejection of her own appearance because of the paparazzi pictures. When photographs of her were published online, in which she was under “inappropriate lighting and angle”, the performer felt inferior and disappointed in herself. Frangipani compared her “bad” shots with the girls’ pictures taken using filters and was upset.

“I’m tired of this Instagram filter industry. It’s bad for our brain to constantly look at ourselves through the prism of perfect looks and be disappointed with how our face really looks,” she admitted.

According to the publication, Halsey coped with her own insecurity and was able to accept herself for who she is. “When the paparazzi published the next photos, I just looked at them and said:“ This is how I look. I cannot change this. I have to come to terms with my face. “I realized that it is very important to love and appreciate the way you look,” the singer added.

In December 2020, Ashley Frangipani showed ribs sticking out due to low weight and pissed off fans. The celebrity answered questions from subscribers in Instagram stories. So, one of the fans asked the singer to demonstrate her figure at the lowest weight. Halsey posted a photo in her underwear (currently removed from the star’s page) showing her protruding ribs.
