Head of Russian Pension Fund resigns from his post

The head of the Russian Pension Fund Maxim Topilin resigned from his post. This was reported by the Kommersant newspaper with reference to sources in the federal government.

The publication clarifies that he informed the fund’s employees about the dismissal on Wednesday, February 10, without naming the name of his successor. However, the fund itself did not comment on Topilin’s resignation, there is no official confirmation yet.

The source of the newspaper in the Pension Fund of Russia said that the resignation is associated with the upcoming unification of social extra-budgetary funds. “Maxim Topilin did not fit into the team of the current government,” said another source.
