President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko called the people of the country saints. A fragment of his speech at the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly was published by the Telegram-channel “Pool of the First”.
“Recently, the Poles, seeing how we are” badly “fighting the pandemic, generally removed all restrictions, exams and tests for our doctors and nurses. Just come and help save the people,” Lukashenko said.
He wondered why they “climb” to Belarus and “ask for something” if the country is “really bad”.
“Listen, well, we are Belarusians, a holy nation. We are ready to help everyone. Maybe even to our own detriment. But we will never allow us to be pushed. Enough,” Lukashenko said.
According to him, the Belarusians of the 20th centuries were brought to their knees, they were tired of it and now they will live by their own mind.
In Belarus, mass protests continue for six months, demanding Lukashenko’s resignation and holding new and fair presidential elections. He claims that the West is behind what is happening.
