President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko suggested thinking about adjusting the Constitution. RIA Novosti reports.
“We must closely consider issues of social development, the role of citizens in the political life of the country, think about the possibility of adjusting the basic law,” Lukashenko said, speaking at the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly.
Earlier, he said that the country is going through a turning point in its history.
The All-Belarusian People’s Assembly has been held every five years since 1996. Lukashenka said that at this year’s event, amendments to the Constitution may be indicated.
