The e-sports team Gambit Esports, owned by MTS, and the Monaco football club have become partners and will create a joint squad. The cybersportsmen of the united team will compete in Fortnite and Dota 2. This was reported to Lenta.ru by the operator’s press service.
The combined roster will include eight members of Gambit Esports, including some of the most famous Fortnite players in Russia and the CIS – Mark “letw1k3” Danilov and Ilya “Toose” Chernyshov.
The partners plan to arrange for fans of e-sports and football teams to draw trips to the Louis II stadium – the home arena of FC Monaco, as well as joint autograph sessions of Alexander Golovin and the players of the Gambit team in MTS salons in Moscow. The merchandise with the joint AS Monaco Gambit brand can be bought in the flagship stores of MTS.
“Gambit Esports is the first Russian eSports club to partner with a foreign football team. Joint events and content from star players will provide a new unique experience for fans of both sports in Russia and throughout Europe,” commented the head of the eSports business department MTS David Dashtoyan.
