Russians pay worse for electricity. This is reported by “Kommersant”.
The debt at the end of last year increased by 12 billion rubles, up to 66.6 billion rubles. This was the worst performance since 2012. At the same time, the total payment of the population for electricity is estimated at 640 billion rubles a year, so analysts consider the amount of debt uncritical for the industry.
The reason for the debt was a moratorium on fines for late payments for utilities. It is also noted that more electricity was consumed during the epidemic.
However, not only ordinary citizens have become debtors. Thus, non-industrial consumers owed 154 billion rubles. Another 66 billion is accounted for by industry, agricultural producers and budgetary enterprises.
