The Russian fifth generation Su-57 fighter is equipped with a fully automated cockpit, TASS reports, citing the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC).
“Theoretically, after the take-off and until the landing approach, the pilot may not engage in piloting at all, but search and attack targets. Moreover, this process is also sufficiently automated,” the agency quotes the words of the head of the cabins department of the Sukhoi “Nikita Dorofeeva.
In particular, it is revealed that the fighter is equipped with multifunctional indicators capable of providing the pilot with a large amount of information regarding the tactical situation and the operation of the aircraft’s systems.
In February, veteran of the US Marine Corps (ILC) Alex Hollings admitted in the Sandboxx blog that the fourth generation fighter F-15EX Advanced Eagle is unlikely to defeat the fifth generation aircraft – the Russian Su-57 and the Chinese J-20.

In December 2019, the Su-57 crashed, which was supposed to become the first serial fighter of the fifth generation, adopted by the Russian Aerospace Forces.
