Dmitry Tarasov, CEO of the Kalashnikov group of companies, revealed to RBC the main task of the MP-155 Ultima smart gun, which is considered a “weapon for hipsters”.

According to the head, the task of the smart gun is to attract “hipsters, generation Z” who “were born with gadgets and cannot imagine themselves without them.” “Classic hunting is becoming increasingly rare, even outlandish today,” admits the CEO.

In April 2020, Kalashnikov published a video on YouTube with the world’s only sample of the assault rifle of the same name.

In September 2019, the concern posted on YouTube a video of an extreme test of the AK-74M assault rifle, which demonstrates the weapon’s ability to withstand continuous burst of fire.

In June of the same year, the Main Missile and Artillery Directorate (GRAU) declassified archival documents about the tests of the Kalashnikov assault rifle in 1943-1945.

The MP-155 Ultima smart gun, developed on the basis of the classic MP-155 self-loading shotgun, is distinguished, in particular, by the use of a processor that can be used to train the shooter. The cost of this weapon is estimated at 100 thousand rubles.
