The cost of the April Brent crude oil futures rose above $ 61 per barrel, reaching the level of January last year. This is evidenced by data from the London stock exchange ICE.
So, as of 05:15 Moscow time, oil cost $ 61.03. Later, the price of a barrel dropped to $ 60.9. The last time the price of North Sea Brent crude rose above $ 61 per barrel was January 7, 2020.
Growth was also shown by the cost of March futures for WTI crude oil. So, as of 05.19 Moscow time, its price grew by 0.64 percent, reaching $ 58.34 per barrel.
Earlier, the cost of Brent crude for the first time since January 29, 2020 soared above $ 60 per barrel – the price of April futures reached $ 60.05. The WTI mark also grew in price, at the same time the March futures were trading at $ 57.54. Since the beginning of November last year, oil quotes have risen by more than a third.
