Nexta’s creators have responded to a request for their extradition

The creators of the NEXTA Telegram channel Stepan Putilo and Roman Protasevich responded to the request of the Investigative Committee of Belarus to Poland to extradite them. Radio Svaboda reports this on February 7.

Putilo said that the Investigative Committee does not investigate hundreds of cases of torture and violence, but demands from another state “to extradite those who, by definition, cannot be extradited.”

Protasevich on his page in Twitter said that he left Poland long ago.

“Dear special services, I have been living in another country for almost 5 months. So send your papers to anyone and as long as you want,” he wrote.

Earlier, the KGB of Belarus included Putilo and Protasevich in the list of persons involved in terrorist activities. They are charged under the article on riots. A court in Minsk recognized NEXTA and its logo as extremist materials.

The Telegram channel actively covers the mass protests in Belarus that began after the presidential elections on August 9, 2020.
