After ban on abortion in Poland, it was proposed to create women’s “crying rooms”

In Poland, it was proposed to create “crying rooms” for pregnant women. The Notes from Poland portal reports.

The idea was presented to the Ministry of Justice of the country after the entry into force of the decision of the Constitutional Court on the prohibition of abortion. According to the initiators of the bill, pregnant women could visit such rooms to cry. In addition, such institutions will provide psychological and social support.

The law on abortion in Poland is one of the toughest in Europe, but at the end of October 2020, the country’s Constitutional Court ruled on the possibility of tightening it. The court decision stated that a woman could not have an abortion, provided that the fetus had incurable pathologies. Abortion is permitted only in cases where the woman has been raped, incest has occurred, or when life and health are threatened.

The abortion decree provoked massive protests, and services were disrupted in some churches.
