In Belarus, the detained administrator of several Telegram channels repented on camera for posting “destructive” information. The video was published on YouTube by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic.
In the footage, a man born in 1992 says that he was the administrator of the channels “Khata Belsata”, “Denisovskaya 6”, “Gray Cat”, which posted “destructive information against the authorities.” “I repent of my actions,” he said.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs stated that the detainee was an unemployed resident of Minsk. He assists operatives in the ongoing verification.
Earlier, the Investigative Committee (IC) of Belarus sent a request to Poland to extradite the founders of the Telegram channel NEXTA Stepan Putilo and Roman Protasevich.
Mass protests have been going on in Belarus for six months, demanding the resignation of President Alexander Lukashenko and the holding of new elections.
