The Russian authorities are interested in a deal to buy assets of the company “Lucky” by Yandex. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) is going to check the agreement, reports TASS.
“FAS Russia will check the information on the purchase by Yandex.Taxi of a part of the assets of the Lucky Group for compliance with the requirements of antimonopoly legislation and the need for its approval with the department,” the department noted.
On Tuesday, February 2, it became known about Yandex’s purchase of call centers and a business ordered by the Vezet group of companies. The deal was worth $ 178 million.
Initially, it was assumed that a joint venture between Yandex and Uber in Russia and the CIS would acquire call centers and competitor software. But such plans did not suit the FAS. Now we are talking about the purchase of only part of the assets, while the company indicated that such a transaction does not meet the criteria for transactions requiring approval from the antimonopoly authority.
