At the Baikonur cosmodrome, a meeting of the technical management was held, at which a decision was made to admit the Progress MS-16 transport cargo vehicle to refueling the combined propulsion system and the spacecraft refueling system.
Before being transported to the filling station, the ship underwent control weighing and balancing in the assembly and testing building of site No. 254. In accordance with the schedule of work at the filling station, specialists from the SP Korolev (part of the State Corporation “Roscosmos”) and specialized enterprises of Roscosmos will carry out scheduled work on refueling the Progress MS-16 cargo vehicle with fuel components and compressed gases.
After the completion of refueling operations, the ship will return to site 254 to continue pre-flight preparations. The launch of the Soyuz-2.1a carrier rocket with the Progress MS-16 cargo vehicle is scheduled for February 2021.
