Outsiders gained control of Perl.com domain

Brian Foy ( brian d foy ), founder of the organization Perl Mongers and author of many books on the Perl language, warned about community loss of control above the main project domain – Perl.com. Unknown persons intercepted the domain from the registrar and now Perl.com belongs to an unauthorized person. We are preparing a complaint to the registrar about the seizure of the domain.

Details of the incident have not yet been reported. It is known that the domain was not expired, as it was paid until 2031. Currently, when I try to open Perl.com, I get an offer to sell the domain. Additionally, similar takeovers of the piracy.com, chip.com, neurologist.com and patterns.com domains are reported. In all cases, the domains were maintained by the registrar Key-Systems GmbH.
