Belarusian Foreign Ministry saw “anti-state posts” of EU ambassadors

The Foreign Ministry of Belarus saw “anti-state posts” of some EU ambassadors on social networks, Interfax-West reports.

“We can now see that some ambassadors representing the European Union are hosting information, posts of a specific anti-state orientation,” said Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei.

According to him, Minsk monitors these facts and will give them “a very specific, substantive and tough assessment”.

Earlier, Makei accused the Belarusian opposition of trying to establish “fascist democracy”.

Presidential elections were held in Belarus on August 9. The CEC announced that Alexander Lukashenko, who ran for a sixth term, won 80 percent, while the main opposition candidate, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, 10 percent. This sparked massive protests across the country that have lasted for almost six months.
