According to him, in the central part of the country as of January 27, wholesale prices for the cheapest category increased by 19 percent, to 59.9 rubles per ten.
Since the beginning of the year, bird flu has been found in poultry farms in the Krasnodar and Stavropol Territories, as well as in the Rostov Region. Recently, cases of the disease began to be recorded in Tatarstan, Astrakhan, Samara and Saratov regions.

Meanwhile, the president of Rospitsesoyuz Galina Bobyleva claims that the rise in prices for feed, vitamins and mineral supplements has a more serious impact on the rise in prices. According to her, the organization sent an appeal to Deputy Prime Minister Victoria Abramchenko and the head of the Ministry of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev with a request not to introduce price caps for eggs and poultry meat. It says that the rise in prices was caused by objective circumstances, not cheating.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Ministry of Agriculture, Oksana Lut, warned that following sugar and sunflower oil, the Russian authorities may impose maximum prices for pasta and eggs. She called on manufacturers and regional authorities to solve the problem on their own.
