The spacecraft of the Korean Aerospace Research Institute (KARI) CAS500-1 was delivered to the site No. 31 of the Baikonur cosmodrome. The An-124-100 aircraft with the vehicle and ground support equipment landed at the Krainiy airport (Baikonur), from where the cargo was overloaded and delivered to the cosmodrome, where further preparation, refueling and integration with the Fregat upper stage will take place. p>
The main mission of the CAS500-1 spacecraft is to acquire images in panchromatic and multispectral modes using the AEISS-C (Advanced Compact High Resolution Earth Sensing System) payload.
On January 18, the upper stage “Fregat” and the spacecraft of the following companies were delivered to the Baikonur cosmodrome: Astroscale – ELSA-d, Axelspace – 3 GRUS and the apparatus of Fukui prefecture, Mohamed Bin Rashid Space Center – DMSAT-1, GAUSS – UNISAT-7 participating in the launch.
