Millionaire pedophile friend asked judge not to punish her for pimping

The friend of the pedophile millionaire Jeffrey Epstein, who is accused of pimping, asked the judge not to punish her. The Associated Press reported.

The investigation believes that 59-year-old Gislaine Maxwell was Epstein’s accomplice in the 1990s. According to their version, the British socialite picked underage girls for the scandalous financier and persuaded them to have sex. Maxwell denies his guilt.

Maxwell’s lawyers insist that the charges against her should be dropped due to the deal that Epstein made with the prosecutor’s office in 2008. Then the millionaire pleaded guilty to involving minors in prostitution and was sentenced to only 13 months in prison with the right to attend work. The publication notes that Maxwell’s name does not appear in the agreement signed by Epstein.

Jeffrey Epstein was charged with creating a criminal network that allowed him to sexually exploit and abuse dozens of girls, including 14-year-olds. According to some reports, he continued to engage in human trafficking until 2019. The American financier was detained on July 6, 2019 in New York. In August of the same year, he took his own life without waiting for the trial.

Maxwell was arrested at her estate on July 2, 2020. She was charged with six counts of indictment, including forcing minors to travel for illegal sex and perjury. She faces up to 35 years in prison.
