Lithuania: patient accidentally injected with five doses of coronavirus vaccine

In a hospital in the city of Marijampole in Lithuania, the patient was accidentally injected with five doses of the coronavirus vaccine. The Delfi portal reports.

“It so happened that the vaccine was not diluted and all 5 doses were administered to one person. This is a human factor,” said the director of the hospital, Mantas Chesna.

According to him, “nothing bad has happened to the patient.” She feels good, only feels severe pain at the injection site. After the incident, doctors consulted with Kaunas Clinic and Pfizer representatives.

Due to a medical error in Marijampole, four people did not receive the vaccine. The investigation into the incident will end on January 28.
