In Belarus, the accused of murdering a child asked to be shot in court. This was announced on Wednesday, January 27, by “Sputnik Belarus”.
The case is being heard in the Minsk City Court, the verdict will be announced on February 4. The accused is a citizen of Uzbekistan Akmal Tadjibaev. State Prosecutor Vadim Kisel asked to be sentenced to life imprisonment.
Tadjibaev, speaking in court with the last word, said that he admitted guilt, repented and asked to appoint him an exceptional punishment – execution.
According to the “Belarusian Partisan”, Tadjibaev was born in Uzbekistan. After finishing 11 classes, he came to Belarus and married a resident of Minsk. The couple raised eight children, including four in common.
Tadjibaev systematically beat his stepson born in 2013 and stepdaughter. He kicked and punched the boy in the head, stomach and groin. On May 22, 2020, his stepfather beat his stepson in front of his sister’s eyes so that the boy suffered a rupture of internal organs and died. The couple then had another child.
In mid-January, the first death sentence in 2021 was passed in Belarus: the Minsk Regional Court sentenced a 30-year-old man to death in the case of the murder of two pensioners in Slutsk.
