Gasoline “Euro 6” produced by Saratov Refinery received “Russian quality” mark

Euro 6 motor gasoline, which is produced by the Saratov Refinery (part of the oil refining unit of NK Rosneft), was awarded the Russian Quality mark. The corresponding diploma and certificate were issued by the All-Russian Quality Organization, Rosneft said in a statement.

The issued documents confirm that the quality of the manufactured products significantly exceeds the requirements established by Russian regulatory documents and international standards.

Rosneft was the first in Russia to start producing Euro 6 gasoline with improved environmental performance in 2018. Motor gasoline “Euro 6” contains less sulfur (by 20-40 percent), benzene (not more than 0.8 percent) and aromatic hydrocarbons (not more than 32 percent). This helps to reduce corrosiveness, leading to a decrease in the toxicity of exhaust gases.

Rosneft is systematically expanding the production and sales geography of Euro 6 gasoline. Currently, in addition to the Saratov refinery, highly environmentally friendly fuel is also produced at the RNPK and the Ufa group of Rosneft refineries.
