The shares of one of the largest wine producers in Russia, Abrau-Dyurso, owned by Boris Titov, ombudsman for the protection of entrepreneurs’ rights, skyrocketed after Vladimir Putin announced his desire to cooperate with the company after leaving the presidency. This is evidenced by the data of the Moscow Exchange.
During the trading session, the company’s shares rose in price by more than 10 percent and by 15:30 Moscow time reached 220 rubles per share. At the time of this writing, the share price has adjusted and fell to 210 rubles.
Putin, during an online conversation with university students on January 25, noted that he likes wine as a field of activity. After the expiration of the presidency, he is ready to act as an advisor for such a business on legal issues.
“I would ever do this – not as a business, but as a type of activity. He added that he was never interested in business itself as an occupation.
Putin is a lawyer by training. In 1975 he graduated from the Law Faculty of the Leningrad State University named after A.A. Zhdanov (now St. Petersburg State University).
