Germany: health care workers refused vaccinations and were fired

Seven nursing staff in Germany refused to be vaccinated against coronavirus and were fired. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Bild tabloid.

The incident took place in the German state of Saxony-Anhalt. According to the tabloid, the head of the patronage service, Rene Willmer, discussed vaccinations with the staff and gave them two days to make a decision. They ultimately refused to get vaccinated, which led to the decision to fire them.

The head of the service explained such actions by the fact that he intends to do everything to protect patients, since he considers it his moral duty. It is noted that this is the first such case of dismissal for refusing to vaccinate in Germany.

“I’m not against vaccination. I just wanted to think a couple more days. Setting deadlines when it comes to such personal issues is impudence,” said one of the employees who were fired. Employees intend to go to labor court.

Earlier, air passengers in Germany were prohibited from boarding a plane without special masks with an increased degree of protection.
