Kazakhstan will start vaccination with the Russian drug “Sputnik V” on February 1, that is, ahead of schedule. This was announced on Tuesday, January 19, by the Minister of Health of the Republic Alexei Tsoi, RIA Novosti reports.
“By February 1, it is planned to start vaccination against coronavirus infection of the affected population groups,” Tsoi said at a government meeting.
At the first stages, it is planned to vaccinate doctors, teachers, students and people with chronic diseases. In total, in the first half of the year they want to vaccinate 2 million people, in the second – another 3-4 million.
Earlier, the Kazakh authorities reported that vaccinations are planned at the end of February. The Ministry of Health has also issued a temporary registration for the domestic vaccine against coronavirus KazCOVID-in.
