In the European Union, they thought about passports for those vaccinated against coronavirus
In the European Union (EU) they thought about passports for those vaccinated against coronavirus. This was stated by the head of the European Council Charles Michel in an interview with the Dutch television program “Beitenhof”, reports TASS.
According to him, on January 21, the heads of state and government of the EU countries will discuss the issue of introducing certificates of vaccination against the virus. He noted that European cooperation on this issue is necessary. Michel also added that it is now necessary to decide when this measure can be implemented.
In addition, the head of the Council of Europe spoke about the possibility that only those vaccinated against coronavirus will be allowed to travel to the EU. He noted that this is a very sensitive topic, as in this case, in many European countries, they may decide that vaccination will actually become mandatory.
Earlier in Germany, several people vaccinated with the BioNTech / Pfizer coronavirus vaccine contracted COVID-19. It is noted that the infected lived in a nursing home in the German city of Hagen.
Vaccination against coronavirus in Europe started on December 27. At the first stage, each of the European Union countries will be able to vaccinate less than 5 thousand people from priority populations.
