GhostBSD 21.01.15 Release Available Desktop-Oriented Distribution Release GhostBSD 21.01 .15 , built on top of the TrueOS platform and offering a custom MATE environment. By default, GhostBSD uses the OpenRC init system and the ZFS file system. Both work in Live mode and installation on a hard disk are supported (using its own installer, ginstall, written in Python). Boot images built for x86_64 architecture (2.5 GB)
In the new version, the iso-image was cleaned, from which LibreOffice and Telegram were removed to reduce the size. Reducing the size of the iso image allowed the ZFS file system to work in live mode on computers with 4 GB of RAM. Removed option from installer to split whole disk into one UFS partition. Fixed problems in the interface for partitioning disk partitions. Added settings for running the Steam Linux client. Updated versions of programs and drivers.
Additionally, please note the publication of the FreeBSD development report from October to december 2020. On OpenNet, a review based on this report is likely to appear on Monday.
