Employees of developer company revealed reason for failure of game Cyberpunk 2077

Employees of the Polish company CD Project RED, the developer of the Cyberpunk 2077 game, revealed the reason for the failure of the game from the very start of sales. Bloomberg reported.

The publication interviewed 20 former and current employees of the company who wished to remain anonymous. They reported that the failure of the game was caused by uncontrollable management ambitions, poor planning and technical flaws.

It is noted that CD Project RED has prioritized marketing rather than product development. In addition, the creators of the game were given unrealistic deadlines, due to which they had to work overtime long before the final stage of production. As a result, the developers simply did not have time to complete the game, which is why many locations, new items and functions were lost.

On December 14, CD Projekt RED said it acknowledges the Cyberpunk 2077 issues on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One that users have previously reported. The company announced the launch of a series of patches, apologized for the quality of the game and promised to return the money to all interested gamers who were left disappointed with the product. Cyberpunk 2077 was released on the night of December 10.
