Japarov won presidential elections in Kyrgyzstan

Sadyr Japarov won the elections in Kyrgyzstan, gaining 79.23 percent of the vote. Data after manual counting of 100 percent of the ballots are provided by the Central Election Commission of the republic, writes TASS.

More than 1.1 million residents voted for Sadyrov in this way. He is followed by Adakhan Madumarov in terms of the number of votes – 95 thousand people (6.8 percent) wanted to elect him.

On January 10, early presidential elections and a referendum to determine the form of government were held in Kyrgyzstan. As a result of the latter, more than 1.1 million citizens supported the strengthening of the institution of the president, 152 thousand (11 percent) were for the parliamentary form of government, 62 thousand (4.5 percent) against all.
