ISIS claims responsibility for double terrorist attack in Baghdad

The Islamic State terrorist organization (IS is banned in Russia) claimed responsibility for the double terrorist attack in Baghdad, which killed 32 people. This was reported by the France Press agency with reference to the propaganda resources of the extremists, RIA Novosti reports.

On January 21, two suicide bombers committed suicide bombing in the center of Baghdad. At least 32 people were killed and 110 were injured.

On July 19, 2020, a missile explosion was reported near the US Embassy in Iraq. The missiles were launched from the Katyusha anti-aircraft missile system and exploded in the “green zone” of Baghdad. On July 26, in the south of the Iraqi capital, an explosion occurred again at a federal police ammunition depot. The explosion was caused by high air temperature and improper storage of ammunition.
