French were advised to be silent and not use phones

French residents were advised to keep quiet and not use mobile phones while traveling by public transport in order to reduce the risk of the spread of coronavirus. The relevant recommendations are posted on the website of the French Academy of Medicine.

The text notes that the requirement to wear a medical mask in transport must be supplemented by bans on the use of a mobile phone and talking. In addition, the academy experts did not agree with the words of the head of the country’s Ministry of Health, Olivier Veran, who had previously called for wearing only surgical masks. According to doctors, this call has no scientific basis.

Earlier, residents of German Bavaria were obliged to wear respirators of the FFP2 class instead of masks. This decision was made against the backdrop of the spread of a new mutation of the coronavirus. An exception was made only for bus drivers and children under 15.
