Iran on Trump’s “death”

US President Donald Trump, whose term ends on January 20, “died as a politician.” Iranian President Hassan Rouhani spoke about this, his speech on local television was quoted by RIA Novosti.

Rouhani added that he was glad of the “death” of the American politician and called him a tyrant. “The political isolation of the United States is Trump’s legacy, the United States found itself alone in its policy,” the Iranian leader stressed.

In mid-October 2020, Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Staye said that in the event of Trump’s re-election, “only God’s help” will help the country.

Biden’s inauguration is scheduled for noon January 20 (20:00 Moscow time). In particular, Vice President Mike Pence is invited to the event. At the same time, Biden called Trump’s decision not to attend the event as good, as he said earlier. Increased security measures have been taken in Washington in connection with the inauguration. Much of the city center, adjacent to the White House and Congress, is closed to traffic. Capitol Hill has been cordoned off and access is restricted.
