The salary of medical workers in Russia since 2012, on average, depending on the category, has grown more than 2.5 times. This is stated in the presentation for the government hour in the Federation Council, which was presented by the head of the Ministry of Health Mikhail Murashko, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports.
According to the minister, an increase in wages was also observed last year, even in the context of the coronavirus pandemic. He called reports of falling incomes single deviations.
Murashko claims that doctors for the specified period increased by 163 percent – from 34 thousand rubles a month in 2012 to 90 thousand rubles in 2020. The nursing staff recorded an increase of 139 percent – from 19 to 40 thousand. The largest increase was seen in the salaries of junior medical staff – from 11 to 40 thousand rubles a month (plus 285 percent).
In addition, the official noted that it was possible to attract about 60 thousand students of secondary and higher institutions to help patients with coronavirus.
Earlier, a survey of the Superjob job search service showed that Russians would not like to see their children as janitors, salesmen, cleaners, police officers, officials and doctors. In the latter case, they said that the salaries of doctors are small, and the patients are ungrateful.
